MCM Youth Media Academy Teaches Youth Valuable Skills for Me

The Winter/Spring 2021 8-week session of the
MCM Youth Media Academy ended this past Thursday, April , 2021. Over the course of the program, participants learned on Tuesdays how to edit on their mobile phones, how to develop and produce a web series, how to create audio and video files, and other technical skills as they engaged in field assignments. On Thursdays, they conducted interviews and produced the web series/television show
ArtsEnPowerwhich airs on Mondays at 4:30pm on Montgomery County, Md cable access channel 19.
Participants included youth in grades 8-12 who were both enrolled in Montgomery County Public Schools and homeschooled. All youth earned SSL hours for their time spent producing ArtsEnPower.
