Workers Monday were putting in the roof trusses for the waiting building and restrooms at the Madison County Transit’s new $1.5 million park and ride facility at Eastgate Plaza in East Alton. The project was awarded to general contractor Bruce Uterbrink Construction.
GRANITE CITY — Madison County Transit officials on Monday announced they are reducing fixed-route and paratransit fares and eliminating confusing fare zone boundaries in Madison County starting May 9.
All fixed-route trips within Madison County will be reduced to just $1 per ride. Trips to St. Louis and St. Clair County will be $3.
