Members of the City Council Subcommittee on Elderly and Housing Affairs saw some positive elements in a Cambridge Housing Stability Notification Ordinance that might be a model for one in Medford. The idea was first introduced by Councilor John Falco on Feb. 9. The initial proposal called for an ordinance requiring “property owners who serve residential tenants an eviction notice also serve upon the tenant a Notice of Tenants Rights and Resources, which in general contains a description of basic housing rights and resources including a list of and contact information or organizations available to assist tenants.”
