The move is an extension of the city's "Wide Open Wednesday," where people can stop by the Pipkin site, 940 Early Maxwell Boulevard, on Wednesday for a vaccine without an appointment, which was announced Monday. Shelby County is vaccinating everyone 16 and older, and as of April 13 more than 443,667 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered, according to data from the Tennessee Department of Health. Around 30% of people in Shelby County have received at least one dose of the vaccine with about 18% of people fully vaccinated.
