Meriden man charged in connection with New Britain homicide Meriden man charged in connection with New Britain homicide December 30, 2020 11:04AM By Lauren Sellew, Record-Journal staff NEW BRITAIN â A Meriden man was arrested on Tuesday and charged in connection with a homicide in New Britain in October.  Quincey Kamal Carraway, 21, of 188 Hillcrest Ave., Meriden, was charged with murder and carrying a pistol without a permit. On Oct. 11 around 3 a.m. New Britain police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting occurred in a plaza at the corner of Stanley Street and Stratford Street, according to Carrawayâs arrest warrant.  Officers found a large crowd and an off-duty state police trooper giving medical aid to a man, identified as Courtney Jones, the warrant said. Jones was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead shortly before 4 a.m. An autopsy showed the cause of death was a gunshot wound  and the manner of death was listed as homicide.Â
