EAST LANSING — The Michigan High School Athletics Association updated its member schools on revised pandemic guidelines for high school winter sports on Monday. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services released the new guidelines on its website late Sunday. The new guidelines cover attendance limits, mask and social distancing requirements and testing COVID-19 procedures for certain student-athletes. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and the MDHHS announced Feb. 4 that winter contact sports would be allowed to resume on Feb. 9. Changes to the current pandemic order cleared the way for sports to restart.
