The team on Sunday announced it would not play in a bowl game if it received an invitation. “First and foremost, I would like to thank our medical staff for everything they have done for our program this season,” first-year coach Mel Tucker said in a statement. “We were extremely fortunate and grateful to have had the opportunity to play football this fall.
