Source: United Kingdom London Metropolitan Police A police constable has been taken to hospital with injuries to his leg after being hit by a car in Camden during a vehicle stop. At approximately 22:25hrs on Thursday, 6 May officers on routine patrol became aware of a blue coloured BMW driving suspiciously as it travelled onto Netherwood Street near to the junction with Lowfield Road, NW6 and signalled for it to stop. Officers parked their vehicles to prevent the car driving off. The car then attempted to reverse away from officers. As it did so, a police officer who left his vehicle to approach the driver has become trapped between the car and a stationary police vehicle.
