May 28, 2021 Milton Raphael, a company driver for Shelba D. Johnson Trucking, has been selected as one of 10 semi-finalists in the Overdrive-Red Eye Radio Trucker Talent Search competition. He submitted his song, “A Little More Time,” which he says he wrote a few years ago “because I never seem to have enough time. There never seems to be enough sunshine on my sundial, or sand in my hourglass.” Raphael, 72, says he didn’t pick up a guitar until his mid-40s, but “as soon as I learned how to play three chords, I said, ‘well, doggone, I’m going to try putting that to music,’” he says.
