Mini police to set up in two Runcorn schools A SUCCESSFUL police scheme aimed at encouraging children to make their communities safer has been rolled out in two more Runcorn schools. The Mini Police scheme will be adopted at Hill View Primary School and Weston Point Community Primary School where pupils can support officers and Police Community Support Officers to tackle local issues that have been highlighted, attend award ceremonies as ambassadors of the force and they are even given a police uniform that’s loosely based on a regular police uniform. The scheme was originally brought to Cheshire in 2018 by PCSO Paul Barker who piloted the national project at Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School in Halton Brook.
