Evening Standard/Getty Images Dylan never felt like he fit in here and took the road to stardom via New York City. Dylan was not only a very successful and talented singer/songwriter, he was also a huge influence to many other artists like the Beatles. In my book, Dylan was probably one of the best lyric writers ever. Even when his singing became difficult to understand, some say due to his motorcycle accident, you can't argue with his brilliant lyrics. Years ago, Dylan did an interview with 60 Minutes and was asked how he wrote all those great songs in the 60's and 70's. His very Dylanish reply was "I don't know who wrote those songs". Digging deeper into his thought process, I assume that he meant that that was a different time and he was a different person then.
