Minors cannot consent to sex, cop reminds amid buggery case twist A senior police investigator based in the northeastern section of the island is reminding the public that a person under the age of 16 cannot legally engage in sexual intercourse or any related sexual activity. "A minor can in no way, shape or form consent to sexual intercourse, as the law of the land states, even if they agree to such unlawful behaviour," the cop, who asked for her identity to be withheld, indicated. "The public must understand the law, especially in light of comments I have seen on social media persecuting a minor who it is alleged changed her story about an ordeal she reportedly faced that, sadly, is still so highly publicised," the cop continued.
