Mir Nasir gets bail in corruption case The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on Sunday granted bail to BNP leader and former state minister for Civil Aviation Mir Mohammad Nasiruddin in a corruption case in which he was sentenced to 13 years’ imprisonment, considering the current Covid-19 pandemic situation. A three-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain granted the bail, following a petition filed by Mir Mohammad Nasiruddin. On November 8 last year, a Dhaka court sent Mir Mohammad Nasiruddin to jail on his surrender in the same corruption case. Mir Mohammad Nasiruddin then filed the petition with the apex court seeking bail in the case on health ground.
