Hannibal (WGEM) -- The Missouri Department of Conservation is looking to fill more positions through the Missouri Master Naturalist Program. The idea behind naturalist program is to work to sustain a healthy environment for fish, forests, and wildlife. The program hopes to develop a corps of well-informed volunteers to provide outreach, education, and service dedicated to natural resources. Member Bob Kendrick said he loves being a part of this program. "They started several years ago trying to create a group of people and train them so they will be involved with the conservation department and all types of different resources," said Kendrick.
