Mitchell School District receives SD Workforce Education Grant

$118,791 to go toward updated automobile program tech

The Mitchell School District was named a recipient of a South Dakota Workforce Education Grant, the South Dakota Department of Education announced Thursday.
The district will receive $118,791 through the grant, which will be applied to updating technology in the district’s automobile technology program.
“Career and technical education is crucial in helping young people successfully prepare for their futures,” said Tiffany Sanderson, secretary of the South Dakota Department of Education, in a statement. “These grants will expand students’ experiences in the classroom and with employers in their communities. I command these districts for providing these opportunities.”
