Valerie Royzman, Staff Writer and Alexander Thompson, Correspondent The Daily Record Area counties are celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, though the holiday won't be as packed with activities and service projects throughout the community as normal. To avoid gatherings and further spread of COVID-19, some organizations are opting for virtual events and programs. Others are still meeting, though activities are modified to follow safety guidelines. Here are some events happening locally to commemorate King's achievements. College of Wooster The College of Wooster is celebrating MLK Day virtually this year. The Fierce Urgency of Now: Education of Transformation events begin at 10 a.m. Monday and last until 5:45 p.m. Programming is free and open to the public.
