The Montgomery Regional Airport reported 13 straight months of year-over-year passenger growth.
The Montgomery Regional Airport issued a statement Monday clarifying that people will need to continue to wear masks at the airport after Alabama's statewide mask mandate expires April 9.
Masks in the airport are required by the TSA, and that federal mandate continues beyond April 9. It defines masks as material covering the nose and mouth, not face shields. It requires everyone to wear a mask while on airport grounds except for those who cannot because of a disability, as defined by the American Disabilities Act.
