View Comments Montgomery city and county are about to get an $85 million injection of federal money as part of the American Recovery Plan Act. Now, they have to figure out the best way to spend it within a still-evolving set of restrictions. City and county leaders have already decided one thing: that they’ll come up with a plan together. Mayor Steven Reed met Tuesday with the Montgomery County Commission, the Montgomery City Council and other employees to learn more about the funds and start work on a list of priorities while getting advice from regulatory attorneys. “We just want to make sure that we do the best we can with these resources. There’s a lot of needs,” County Commission Chairman Elton Dean said.
