(KNSI) – Fish houses need to be off of Minnesota’s lakes in the lower two-thirds of the state by the end of the day Monday. The Department of Natural Resources says owners could be prosecuted if their buildings are left on the ice unattended between midnight and one hour before sunrise past Monday. DNR conservation officer Mitch Lawler says conditions are good for removing fish houses off the ice, but if something comes up, reach out. “If you are in a bind, you break an axle, a cable snaps, something like that, get a hold of your local CO,” Lawler said. “Let them know what’s going on.”
