Northern gaza to evacuate south. That means more than 1 Million People have been asked to leave their homes before Israeli Forces start hunting down hamas militants and attempt to rescue hostages in gaza. The idf announced today it would establish a second route to help gazans flee to southern gaza. Hamas Officials Say israeli airstrikes killed 70 people, friday, as they tried to leave gaza city. Those killed were mostly women and children. This mad dash comes as the u. S. Workecure a Safe Border Exit for american citizens trapped in gaza. The United States, israel, and egypt, reaching an agreement to allow citizens to cross to egypt via the rafah crossing. The window for that has come and gone. It is unclear, at this time, whether any americans were able to cross. Meantime, nbc news exclusively obtaining documents that show hamas militants intentionally planned to target children. These documents were top secret, in arabic, highlighting plans for two highly trained hamas units to surround and attack several israeli villages. Nbc news has confirmed the documents were found on hamas detailed plans that showed hamas plan to kill Intake Hostage civilian schoolchildren. You are looking at aftermath of one of the detailed attacks. This area was one of the most deadly against the terror on. How hamas fighters should target each village to, quote, kill as many people as possible. Obviously, details very disturbing to hear. We are going to speak to a member of the nbc Investigation Unit who broke that story in just a few minutes. First, we want to start live in jerusalem with nbc news correspondent Kelly Cobiella, what is the status of knows theyre in as forces prepare for a Ground Invasion . Well, those israeli airstrikes have continued throughout the overnight and into today in northern gaza. Just east of gaza city and also in the south where people were told to evacuate to safety. People are still fleeing northern gaza. They are going by anyway they can. It is a difficult journey, not only because, frankly, because of the bombardments but also because of the blockade that has been in place now for about a week. There are very limited supplies of fuel. Fuel is running out. People simply cannot feel their cars to get south. There are not enough taxes to get south. Some people are not even aware of this window of safe passage that the Israeli Government announced earlier today. They said that between the hours of ten and four in the afternoon there would be too safe passage routes from the north, down to the south. This coming after a convoy of evacuees was hit by an israeli airstrike late yesterday. 70 people killed, many of them women and children. People are still trying to get out. It is increasingly dangerous, especially as we get to the evening hours now. There is a another emergency quickly developing on the ground in gaza, as well, right now. That is the lack of drinking water. The United Nations has said that lives are at stake now. The taps not running anymore because of the lack of fuel the Water Systems are not working. The Water Treatment but the systems used to move the water through the pipes. People are starting to drink contaminated water from wells. That could lead to, yet another, disaster of waterborne diseases. Really, disaster upon disaster for the people inside of gaza trying to get out. Lindsey . Where do things stand, kelly, at this hour regarding the rafah Border Crossing between palestine and egypt . As far as we understand, lindsey, there has been no sign, whatsoever, that crossing opened at all today. There was a tentative agreement announced by the u. S. That it would open for a short period of time. Families were given notices by the State Department to get closer to that crossing. It may only open for a short period of time. In fact, nbc news has been speaking to people there. They told us that there are hundreds of people waiting. As many as 600 waiting close to that crossing. There is just no sign of either sign being staffed or of it opening up. Still a very difficult situation for people in the south. We should also mention, a lot of the people left their homes, left shelter, they are now looking for a place to stay undercover or are having to sleep out in the open. Lindsey . Nbc news it is Kelly Cobiella in jerusalem. Thank you to you and your crew for bringing the very latest from the ground. Joining us now from lebanon, nbc news foreign correspondent, matt bradley. Matt, what is the latest on the ground there . How can what unfolds where you are wide in the scope of this conflict . Lindsey, we have been hearing from the idea, the Israeli Defense forces, that the dominant Paramilitary Group here in Southern Lebanon have fired as many as 30 or more to rounds over the border, just over that ridge line back there, into israel. We went down there yesterday. That is where a reuters journalist was killed and six other journalists were injured from firing coming from the israeli side. The Associated Press and al jazeera said that that firing with by the israelis. The reuters has not confirmed that. They are launching an investigation. Clearly, what we are seeing is this border behind me is heating up. This is nothing compared to what is going on where my colleague, Kelly Cobiella, is. My other colleagues near the border inside the gaza strip. Inside of israel. We have been seeing thousands of death. Here we are still seeing an increase in the tempo and the ferocity of the violence. Now, one week into this way, the question from everyone here is whether or not hezbollah will join in on the fighting. That is something everyone is looking at. If they do, it will broaden the conflict. It will bring in one other full nation. It will internationalize it. When i say a militant group, hezbollah, really bears more of a resemblance to a foreign official military than it does some kind of militant group, like hamas. Even though hezbollah is similar to hamas. The religious fundamentalist group backed by iran. Like hamas, it has, historically, been able to sustain long term engagement against israel that has pushed israel into retaliating in a muscular fashion. This is a major threat. One that a lot of people in the region, not just in israel, but here in lebanon, are very much dreading. If hezbollah were to weigh in, i dont know what would cause that, but it would internationalize the conflict, like i said. We do not know what hezbollah sees its role as here. Weve been speaking with analysts and people close to the group. People who are members of the group. A Member Of Parliament who had spoke to yesterday, for hezbollah, said in very strident language that hezbollah is ready to fight. They are not afraid of israel. They are not afraid of the American Naval assets part of the coast here in the Eastern Mediterranean city. It is unclear whether that is just bravado or whether or not hezbollah is really prepared to go into battle. Remember, if thats below does go into this fight, they will be able to bring to bear weapons, training, political trip ability, and connections internationally that would dwarf those of hamas. Hezbollah has ministers and government. They have Freedom Of Movement within lebanon. They have, basically, control of reports in airports. They are able to bring in weapons. They are not hemmed in by a 16 yang blockade like hamas is in the gaza strip. Theyve been fighting for the better part of the past decade in Neighboring Syria against Sunni Islamic group. They are, what Military Technicians would call, bloodied. They are experienced and battle. That means they would be increasing the ferocity of this phase. Splitting the israeli ranks. And internationalizing the conflict as i have said, in a way that no one here wants to see, including the people of lebanon. Lindsey . Matt bradley, thank you to you and your crew for monitoring that situation there. This morning, the u. S. State Department Revised its Travel Advisory to israel, the west bank, and gaza. Joining me now on that is nbc News White House correspondent, allie raffa. Allie, what is new about the Travel Advisory . Also, how is the Biden Administration working to get american hostages home . Lindsey, the State Department issuing this updated Travel Advisory early this morning. Ordering the evacuation of nonemergency staff and their families from u. S. Embassies in jerusalem and tel aviv. It tells americans to avoid or nsider traveling to israel, the west bank, and gaza due to terrorism, armed conflict, and civil unrest. It says in the statement in part, quote, terrorist groups, other violent extremists continue plotting possible attacks in israel and the west nk a gaza. Violence can occur in israel on the west bank of gaza t warning. Therhabeen a marked increase in demonstrations throughout israel. Some with little or no warning. The update on this increasing danger in this region is really putting a new spotlight on the extremely challenging efforts from u. S. Officials to find and recover american hostages that were taken a week ago today by hamas from israel into gaza. President biden meeting yesterday, virtually, for more than an hour with the families of 14 americans who are still unaccounted for. Believed to be among the roughly 150 people taken hostage by hamas. President biden had a message for the Hamas Terrorists who took these hostages when he sat down for an interview with 60 minutes. Take a listen to that. Why do you feel so strongly about speaking to these families, personally, on zoom . I think they have to know that the president of the United States of america cares deeply about what is happening, deeply we have to communicate to the world, this is critical. This is not even human behavior, it is pure barbarism. We are gonna do everything in our power to get them home if we can find them. The white house gave us a little bit more detail on what was discussed during this call. They say that the president told these families that they continue to be in his thoughts and prayers. That he vows to continue these Recovery Efforts for their loved ones. They also say that some of these Family Members shared personal stories about their loved ones with the president. Officials say that these Family Members were also able to ask any questions to u. S. Officials about these challenging ongoing Recovery Efforts. It is not just a president who has these Hostage Effort Top of mind. We know that this is a large part of why we saw Secretary Of State Anthony Blinken in qatar meeting with foreign leaders as u. S. Officials try to take advantage of countries, neighboring countries in the region, who already have lines, channels of communication, established with hamas. Trying to take advantage. Of that communication, lindsey. Its the idea that the president and the Secretary Of State communicating to the American People in the world that they care deeply about this. That they are actively working on this. That is the strategy. Its the idea that the actual american intelligence and assets and resources are being used to get these hostages out, that is top secret and classified. They are not going to be releasing that publicly . Correct. Actually, the president was asked about this yesterday. He said that this is being kept very tightly under wraps for good reason. , u. S. Officials are giving little detail on how they are trying to get americans out of israel and gaza. Palestinian americans and u. S. Citizens out of israel rather than giving us the full picture on how these hostage Recovery Efforts are going, lindsay. They must be anxious for every piece of information they can get. Eiley raffa, thank you so much. We are learning more about the planning that went into the attack from hamas. Joining me now, new Exclusive Reporting from anna shifter. A member of nbc newss Investigation Unit. And a, how did nbc news obtain these documents . What light to they shed on what went into the planning . Lindsey, in the hours and early days directly after the Terrorist Attack on the music scene and just over the border with gaza, idf as well as other First Responder organizations went in and took information on the death. Took notes on what they were. Seeing the murdered children. Women families killed together. They also found the bodies of Hamas Terrorists killed during the violence. On the bodies of those Hamas Terrorists in pockets where these documents. The First Responders recovered them, photographed them. Currently, the idf is reviewing a trove of documents. A source within the Israeli Government passed the documents that we reported on to me. We analyze them and put out the news last night. What are some of the most disturbing allegations . Obviously a warning to our viewers that the details are difficult but, what sticks out to you . The directive to take hostages and kill as many people as possible. Those were two Bullet Points on one of the pages that and nbc news translator translated into english from arabic. Also, there was the old dot school, the new dot school, and a youth center that ron Bullet Points. Search School Number one, search School Number two, searched the youth center. Sources also told me that dining hall, dental offices, were marked on these maps and were targets. Another directive was to surround and gather hostages within a dining home. It was so detailed that one hamas unit was to take the hostages and hand them off to a second hamas unit. There were even details about how many motorbikes would approach in one unit. How many jeeps. For motorbikes, two jeeps, four motorbikes, two jeeps. The detail is really unprecedented. What my sources have told me is that this is unprecedented to find these detailed accounts in this intelligence on the bodies of the attackers. So brutal, the details, so emotional. I wanted to ask you, you have a new Special Report as msnbc. Com about the Music Festival that people out in hearing. Attendees were able to escape with their lives, they called themselves sitting ducks. They were celebrating a Music Festival for a jewish holiday. Hamas came in and opened fire. We have seen a lot of the images. This reporting is just incredible. What do you want people home, and i encourage everyone to look at, it when they have a chance, in the emotional space on the can, what you want people to take away from that detailed reporting . From interviews with families, interviews with survivors, and reviewing hours of footage put together, compilations of everything that was put out on societal media. It was an all night party that israelis called the nature party. Transport music, there is 3000 people, and what people want to get out is that these people had nothing to do with politics, nothing to do with the military. This is about a big celebration and many of them had been looking forward to four months. The fact that they were unarmed and were really just their dancing at an outdoor concert. The brutality described, going bush to, bush tree to tree, shooting mostly young people there were there. And just enjoying time and be sick with their friends. One of the organizers described to me how she was actually able to get into a jeep. It is her bosss car. She thinks god the vehicle could withstand what she then drove into, which was an ambush. Her car stalled, and she describes to me getting it into reverse and able to drive away even though six armed men, Hamas Terrorists were shooting into her car and wounded three people sitting in her backseat. Thankfully, they all survived, but were taken to the hospital. Imagine, just the image in that Special Report of the burned out cars and amidst the remnants of the festivities. Its just kind of ingrained in my brain, great reporting, thank you. Next, the u. S. Has provided Weapons Intelligence and Security Assistance to israel. What is our role in rescuing hostages held by hamas . We will explore that, ahead. Plore that, ahead. Dude . Dog food in the fridge . Its not dog food. Its freshpet. Real meat. Real veggies. Real weird. He was bad luck anyway. My frequent heartburn had me taking antacid after antacid all day l
