The Leavenworth Times The filing deadline is still almost two months away, but several people already have filed as candidates for local city and school board positions. As of Tuesday morning, three people had filed as candidates for the Leavenworth City Commission. They are Griff Martin, Maren Hart and Edd Hingula. All of Leavenworth’s city commissioners serve in at-large positions rather than representing individual wards or districts. This means each candidate for the City Commission can live anywhere in the city. Three seats on the Leavenworth City Commission are up for election this year. Those seats currently are held by Mike Griswold, Jermaine Wilson and Mark Preisinger.
