View Comments Five people, including two children, were injured in a one-vehicle crash on the New York state Thruway in Henrietta on Tuesday morning. Henrietta Fire Chief Mark Cholach said that several people were thrown from the sport utility vehicle when it overturned on the highway around 6:45 a.m. New York State Police said that William T. Shanahan, 43, of West Seneca, Erie County, was driving the SUV east on the Thruway when he started to drive off the north shoulder of the highway for an unknown reason. He overcorrected and crossed both eastbound lanes rolling the vehicle several times on the south shoulder.
