A COMMUNITY centre could become the permanent home of a Covid-19 testing facility, as people are being warned that they might have to live with tests forever. Talks are under way between East Lothian Council and the Scottish Government over the recommissioning of Stoneyhill Community Centre in Musselburgh as a testing centre. A report which will go before elected members next week warns that testing will be a constant in people’s lives in the future. And it reveals that the community centre, which was listed by the local authority in 2019 as an asset transfer, is at the centre of current plans.
