A Missouri Valley College shooting sports student-athlete finished fourth overall, and earned All-American status, at the 2021 USA Archery Collegiate Target Nationals over the weekend in Richmond, Va.
Evan Baker opened with two separate six-round competitions in the compound archery ranking-round shootout. In each round, he earned a score of 341 for a combined score of 682. Baker’s score seeded him No. 13 of 49 individuals going into the elimination rounds.
Baker earned a bye into the second round and defeated No. 20-ranked Ryan Kitts of James Madison (Va.) 145-142, advancing to the third round. Baker then defeated No. 4-ranked Aaron Adams of Cumberlands (Ky.) 148-142. In the quarterfinal round, Baker earned a 148-140 win over No. 21-ranked Jacob Houseknecht of Alfred State (N.Y.).
