(WMBF) – The city of Myrtle Beach released the names of the three finalists who are vying to be the next city manager. The person will take City Manager John Pedersen’s place. He announced earlier this year that he will be retiring. He was hired as city manager back in 2014. RELATED COVERAGE | The city released the names and backgrounds of the three finalists. Jonathan “Fox” Simons Jr. is currently Myrtle Beach’s deputy city manager. He has been with the city of Myrtle Beach since 2015 when he was hired as an assistant city manager.
