Congress floor leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has been suspended by the Lok Sabha for comparing a fugitive businessman with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chowdhury's comments led to stormy scenes in the House and the motion for his suspension was passed by a voice vote. His conduct has also been referred to the privileges committee.
