National Hispanic Cultural Center Seeks Executive Director NHCC News: ALBUQUERQUE — The National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) in Albuquerque is searching for its next executive director. As the administrative and executive officer of the Center, the position requires a seasoned administrator with a record of successful leadership of a multidisciplinary organization, ability for oversite of a professional staff, and experience working collaboratively with boards such as the National Hispanic Cultural Center Board of Directors and the National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation. The position is appointed by the Governor. A division of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA), the NHCC’s mission is the preservation, promotion, and advancement of Hispanic culture, arts, and humanities. With an annual operating budget of approximately $3 million, the Center presents exhibitions, lectures, book readings, performing arts, and educational programs that are meaningful to the local community. The NHCC is also home to the Spanish Resource Center, an arm of both the Spanish Embassy and the University of New Mexico, and Instituto Cervantes.
