The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has debunked reports that it has renewed MTN Unified Access and Service (UASL) License for another ten years.
Recall that a media platform, not DAILY POST had reported that the company has been granted UASL for another ten years by the FG to run its business in Nigeria.
But reacting to the report, in a statement issued by its Director, Public Affairs, Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde, the commission said though the telecom company has applied for the renewal of its license, it is yet to be approved.
The statement reads, “The attention of the Nigerian Communications Commission has been drawn to a publication in an online media entitled “Govt renews MTN Nigeria license amid 20 years of GSM phones” to the effect that the mobile operating license of MTN has been renewed by the Commission for another period of ten years.
