NORWICH — Officials with the Norwich Community Development Corporation took the first steps forward Thursday since announcing the death of its president and executive director Jason Vincent. In a statement a day earlier, NCDC chairman Robert Buckley confirmed Vincent's death - he had been reported missing and the National Park Service said the body of a man fitting the description of Vincent was recovered in West Virginia on Monday - and extended sympathies to the family and friends. "We are greatly saddened by the tremendous loss of his presence, guidance, and inspiration," Buckley said. On Thursday, a special board of directors meeting was held to determined how existing projects Vincent led should be continued and how the organization could go about finding a new president. By the end of the meeting, a committee was formed consisting of Board Officers Rebecca Alberts, Bob Staley and Chris Jewell, and Board Members John Salomone, Jason Jones and Michael Rauh.
