News of the heartbreaking theft quickly spread across social media with thousands of posts and shares online, with the first-time breeders' desperate search finally locating one of the lost $2500 puppies on Thursday. Mrs Weier said she was elated when police confirmed the only male puppy stolen had been found on the Gold Coast and then handed in at Beenleigh. "We're really glad we've got him back and gave him to his forever family ... they came and picked him up, they were just ecstatic and so keen to have him," Mrs Weier said.
