Nebraska librarians not staying quiet on proposed changes from the Nebraska Department of Education

Nebraska librarians say they can't stay quiet on the Nebraska Department of Education's proposal to change the duties of the school librarian.
"We are in at the hub, in the heart and the soul of the school," Pentland said.
She's been a librarian for 13 years in Omaha and Lincoln, currently working at Lincoln's North Star High School.
Pentland worries about not just her job, but her career.
"If there is not an actual state rule or state law that says, a certified school librarian needs to be present in every building, then that doesn't happen," she said.
