In apparently the first longitudinal study of the duration and effectiveness of a proposed swine flu vaccine for hogs, Husker scientists found it provided more rapid and long-lasting antibody and T-cell responses and significantly better protection against the swine flu virus. The results are encouraging for the pork industry, but also have significant implications for human health.
