Northampton officials aren't following the right course in their consideration of a proposed Wawa with gas pumps in the Holland section of the township, some neighbors and their attorney claim in a detailed 22-page letter sent to the supervisors. The document is not a formal lawsuit, said New Castle attorney Christopher Papa, and was sent to township officials "to assist them, raise concerns on the process they are undertaking which we believe is in error." The letter sent on behalf of eight neighbors who live close to the site of the proposed store at 287 Holland Road claims that the project requires conditional use approval and the public hearing to consider it.
