NELIGH, Neb. (KTIV) - A historic landmark for residents of Neligh, Nebraska, is looking at getting a new life. The New Moon Community Theater has been a staple on Main Street for years. According to the theater's website, the theater was rebuilt as the New Moon Theater in 1944 by Walter Bradley after the original Moon theater burnt down. The Bradley family later sold the theater, and it was passed around to various owners from the 1970s to the 2010s. In 2018, the New Moon Community Theater non-profit was created and purchased the theater. The board of directors is raising funds to restore the theater to its past glory and make it functional once again. They say many changes are on the horizon, beginning with repairing the roof. But there is one overall goal they have in mind.
