LUZ ZUNIGA Fifty colourful floats, the all conquering Tasman Mako and enthusiastic crowds made for a memorable Nelson Santa parade on Sunday. After a difficult year, Nelson families welcomed the chance to don Santa hats and cheer on the sidelines of Nelson's Santa Parade. Despite being organised at the last minute, the Sunday afternoon event was twice the size of last year’s event, with 50 floats making their way down Trafalgar St. Luz Zuniga/Stuff A cheer rose from the crowd as Santa, escorted by his elves, made his appearance in central Nelson on Sunday afternoon. Included in the line-up were musical favourites the Sambassadors, classic tractors from Pigeon Valley Steam Museum, zumba dancers, vintage cars from Nelson Classic Car Museum, storm troopers and a float from the Post Boy Hotel.
