Netflix announce SEVEN new shows and one of them stars Mr Bean. (Canva/PA Wire) Netflix has announced Rowan Atkinson will star in a new comedy - one of SEVEN new shows commisioned by the popular streaming service. The Mr Bean star will appear in Man Vs Bee, a comedy he co-created for the streaming giant. The comedy tells the story of a man who finds himself at war with a bee while housesitting in a mansion. Anne Mensah, vice president of UK original series at Netflix, said: “Setting up a team entirely based in the UK was always about being able to better connect to the fantastic programme makers we have here – to provide a space for writers, producers and actors that feels local, friendly and familiar but also provides talent the opportunity to make shows that will impact on a global scale.
