Nevada higher ed system drafting plans for requiring COVID-19 vaccinations News 3 Staff Replay Video UP NEXT The system that oversees Nevada's public colleges and universities is drafting plans to require COVID-19 vaccinations for students returning to campuses in the fall. The Nevada System of Higher Education said Thursday that any mandate would depend on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration lifting the current Emergency Use Authorization designations for the three vaccines currently available. If the designation is removed, NSHE Chancellor Melody Rose says she will work with local and state health officials and would recommend the Board of Regents approve the vaccine requirement.
