Nevada road fatalities continue to climb in April

The number of fatalities on Nevada roads continued to climb in April compared to a year ago, according to new figures from state officials.
There were 31 traffic-related deaths last month, up from the 28 fatalities reported in April 2020, per the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety.
Statewide, pedestrian fatalities remained relatively unchanged, from 28 in 2020 to 27 so far this year.
The number of people killed while not wearing seatbelts has gone up, from 20 last year to 24 through April 2021.
In Clark County, there have been 67 fatalities in 2021 through April, up 26% from the 53 crashes reported over the same period a year ago.
