9 & 10 News June 3, 2021 Michigan Senators Curt VanderWall, Kevin Daley and Ruth Johnson have introduced a new package that would help Michiganders struggling to get into Secretary of State branches across Michigan. The newly introduced three bill package would extend Michigan driver’s licenses and personal identification cards, as well as require Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson to reopen branch offices for walk-in services. One bill would extend the expiration of driver’s licenses and vehicle registrations until Sept. 30. Another would make the same extension to enhanced licenses and state ID’s. And the third bill, which is sponsored by Senator VanderWall, would extend expiration on State ID’s.
