New England candy maker recalls chocolate over foreign objects

A Vermont chocolate company is recalling some of milk chocolate products because of possible foreign objects.
Lake Champlain Chocolates announced Friday the voluntary recall of a number of products distributed through retailers and distributors in all 50 states, and in the company’s three retail stores in Vermont.Sign up for our Newsletters
The recall was initiated after a consumer reported finding brittle plastic pieces in a finished product, the company said.
The recall includes multiple flavors of the company’s Five Star Bars, some of which could have been included in gift baskets.
