New Iberia City Marshal Tony Migues charged with faking subpoena signatures

New Iberia City Marshal Haywood "Tony" Migues was arrested Thursday and charged with eight counts of forgery, injuring public records, and malfeasance in office after Louisiana State Police investigators alleged that he faked signatures on subpoenas instead of serving the people involved.
New Iberia City Marshal Haywood "Tony" Migues was arrested Thursday and charged with faking signatures on court subpoenas instead of actually serving the people involved, the Louisiana State Police announced.
Migues, 67, faces eight charges of forgery, injuring public records, and malfeasance in office related to a state police investigation that began in January and remains active, according to a release issued Troop I spokesperson Trooper Thomas Gossen.
