A NEW mobile phone mast could be built in Wrexham to “significantly improve” coverage in the area. Network provider EE is behind the plans to install a 20-metre high pole outside Parry’s Retail Furniture Warehouse off Mold Road in Gwersyllt. It would replace an existing mast at the site with the aim of upgrading both 3G and 4G data coverage. In an application to Wrexham Council, a company acting on EE’s behalf said the proposed location was considered to be the most appropriate in the area and would minimise any negative impact. Representatives for the Harlequin Group said: “In line with the Planning Policy Wales, an upgrade on an existing telecommunications site is being proposed.
