PORTLAND, Ore. – Out-of-state drivers who move to Oregon have often been shocked and bewildered when they try to get an Oregon driver's license and learn they have to take a written driving test.
Most states don't require the written test for out-of-state drivers, as long as you have a valid license from another state.
Oregon has been a holdout, however, that requirement is ending on June 5 thanks to a new bill signed by the governor.
Under the bill, as long as out-of-state drivers have a valid license from another state, they won't have to take what's commonly known as the 'written test.'
