By Jason Taylor May 3, 2021 DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa State Fair is returning this summer with a new space that'll host tractor pulls, monster trucks meets, rodeos and barbecue competitions. The Elwell Family Park will have permanent seating for more than two-thousand when it opens for a tractor pull during the fair. It'll eventually seat six-thousand people and have permanent restrooms and expanded concessions. The State Fair has announced a pledge of two-million dollars from real estate developer Denny Elwell and his wife Candy is making the park possible. Additional family friendly events will come in the future, including monster trucks, rodeos and barbeque competitions among others.
