A man with decades of experience in education, most recently as principal at New Philadelphia High School, is the newly chosen superintendent in the West Holmes Local School District. Eric Jurkovic will be introduced to staff and the community when the Board of Education meets Monday to make the hiring official. Jurkovic has experience as an elementary school and special education teacher, a middle school principal, and most recently, for the last 10 years, the principal of New Philadelphia High School. A special school board meeting was held Monday evening where the decision to hire Jurkovic was made. The district announced the selection of the new superintendent in a news release Wednesday morning.
