The Daily Telegram Schools in Lenawee County should see much less need to quarantine large numbers of students who are close contacts of people with COVID-19 after a new public health order was issued Tuesday. Students will now only have to quarantine for 10 days if they live in the same household as someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or if they are a close contact of a case identified in an “outbreak” at their school. This new policy was developed by officials from the Lenawee County Health Department and all of the county superintendents. They met Monday to review the mandatory quarantine of students, and the health department issued the new order Tuesday.
