PARMA, Ohio — If administrators, teachers, parents and students have learned anything during the pandemic, it’s that best-laid plans can change at a moment’s notice.
That’s what Parma City Schools Superintendent Charles Smialek is telling his district about his recent plan of returning to traditional five-day, all-in instruction on April 8.
“We always looked at the coming back in the fourth quarter, but as we got more information on how vaccinations affect quarantining we decided we could really move that up to March 22,” Smialek said. “Last week, we learned that actually if you’re fully vaccinated and exposed you only have to quarantine within a two-week window.
