Over the last few months, the River Falls School Board has been working to fill its vacancy. At a special meeting held on June 28, the school board appointed candidate Lindsey Curtis to the open seat. Curtis has outlined her commitment to collaborating with the community, promoting pride and supporting policy that upholds educational excellence. Her first public meeting will be at the Board of Education meeting on July 19 at 6 p.m. âI am incredibly honored and humbled to have been appointed to fill the vacant seat on the School Board here in River Falls,â said Curtis in an email to the River Falls Journal. âIt is my understanding that the other applicants were all well-qualified and care deeply about our schools and our community. Our district is fortunate to have had so many people who were willing to step forward and be considered for this position.â
