Local businesses have been rallying round a Cleator Moor charity, helping it to carry out its vital work. Skills 4 You works to support adults who have been out of employment for long periods, or who have never been in employment, who struggle with social isolation, physical or mental health issues. The charity provides individually tailored training and mentoring to help improve people's chances of finding work, and encourages a holistic approach to tackling the issues preventing a person from finding work. Skills 4 You, which works alongside Home To Work and Works 4 You, is already seeing the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic among those they are seeking to help, and is warning that there is an "overwhelming body of evidence" that there will be a "massive upsurge in anxiety and depression" as a result of the pandemic.
