New York Philharmonic Performs Outdoors for Healthcare Workers
To kick off Lincoln Center’s
Restart Stages initiative, musicians from the New York Philharmonic held an outdoor performance for healthcare workers at Barclays Capital Grove on Wednesday, April 7 – also World Health Day.

Before the performance, a Lincoln Center-commissioned installation by Basil Twist featured puppeteers who greeted audience members as they walked in with sheep puppets on the Illumination Lawn.

Some of those in attendance included Mayor Bill de Blasio; Lincoln Center President and CEO Henry Timms; President of Arison Arts Foundation and Lincoln Center Board Member Sarah Arison; Chief Administrative Officer of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, Vasili Tsamis, and Lincoln Center Chief Communications, Marketing & Advocacy Officer Leah C. Johnson.
